Debates in the Digital Humanities

About the Series

Debates in the Digital Humanities 2016 marks the start of a new book series from the University of Minnesota Press. Building on the first edition of Debates in the Digital Humanities, the series will explore the most compelling debates in the field as they emerge. As digital humanities scholars and practitioners, along with their critics, continue to articulate the field, Debates in the Digital Humanities will track the issues and tensions at stake in their discussions of methods, practices, theories, controversies, projects, and politics.

About the Platform

The Debates in the Digital Humanities platform was launched in 2013 in conjunction with the open-access edition of the first Debates in the Digital Humanities volume. Since then, the platform has expanded to include features that allow readers to interact with the material by marking passages, and adding terms to a crowdsourced index; the platform also includes atom feeds and APIs.

In 2016, the platform was redesigned to include the content associated with Debates in the Digital Humanities 2016. For the latest updates, see the news page.
